Before we get into our tips for each room, here are a few things to keep in mind when thinking about home lighting:
Where do you get the most natural light?
Think about the height & scale of your room. You don't want your light to appear too large or small for the space.
What are the paint, floor and furniture colours in your space? Some colours look best under warm, ambient light rather than other under cool, bright light.
Where are your points of interest? For example, if you have a reading nook, you'll want to have specific lighting for that area.
How do you want to control your lighting? Do you want to be able to dim your lights, change their colour etc?
